Review on Sony Walkman NW-A105 Hi-Res 16GB 🎧 MP3 Player in Black - Enhanced Audio Experience by Steven Cox

I rarely write reviews but I couldn't resist buying this one. Before I pulled the trigger to buy this I checked out a few YouTube reviews. One of the reviews mentioned the (terrible) battery life, but I didn't think too much about it because the reviewer said their device needed a charge in about 2 days. Here I am completely beside myself: the battery is drained when idle, not even used! Do you mean that seriously?! Since this particular device uses the Android/Google OS and has many apps pre-installed (mainly Android/Google), I'm wondering if that's why it's draining the battery while just sitting there. I contacted SONY (virtual assistant) and directed me to a page with some suggestions such as: For example: • Adjust screen brightness. • Turn off all sound settings. • Turn off the Bluetooth function when not in use. • Turn the NFC feature on or off when not in use. • Turn off the Wi-Fi function when not in use. • Turn off the noise reduction function. • Disable Ambient Sound Mode. Also: it's 16GB, but about 6/7GB is already used for preinstalled Android/Google apps and you CANNOT delete them! So you will most likely need to use an SDMICRO card for extra storage like I did. I may decide to write another review (updates) after trying some of these "battery" saving tips. If they don't fit I will definitely return it and look for another mp3. Thank you for reading.
