I bought these molds to make a soufflé for a special birthday dessert. At first I thought they wouldn't work since my recipe research said the sides of the container should be at least two inches high, which isn't quite an inch and a half. The dishes arrived the day before the party and didn't have time to replace them so I just crossed my fingers and went. They worked great. The soufflés were big and great. I particularly like the color (red) and the handles for easy removal of hot food from the oven. I have a hard time dealing with the traditional little white shapes when they're hot. The red pottery cleared like a dream. I am very happy with my purchase and have lots of ideas on how to use them for custom casseroles, hasselback potatoes and brownies.
