How to turn off the constantly blinking FUNNY LEDs!

If you hate constantly flashing LEDs that can't be turned off, if you have a screwdriver and wire cutters, follow these steps. That's all you need! I like this set of thermometers, but the annoying flashing backlight needs to be fixed. Anyone who decides this is a good feature should be punished. This is a really terrible feature. Tools needed: small Phillips screwdriver, side cutters or soldering iron. That's all. Step 1) Remove the two Phillips head screws on the back of the device. You can remove the batteries, but it is not necessary. Step 2) Carefully separate the two parts from each other. Note that there are tabs on each side that you can press down with a small screwdriver to make this task easier. Step 3) Locate the LED wiring using my photos as a guide. Step 4) Physically cut the wires for the colors of the LEDs you want to disable. .Step 5) Reassemble the case, reinstall the screws and start cooking! In my case I wanted to remove the blue and green but leave the red alone. This allows the screen to flash RED when the set temperature is reached. I think it's ok! But you can kill that too if you want. Or any combination. From top to bottom wiring: - Blue - Green - Common Ground (leave this alone if you don't want to kill all the colors of the LED light) - Red Just cut off the ones you don't want to see anymore. That's all!
