These are NOT the standard disposable filters that you typically get when you buy wet/dry vacuum cleaner filters. These filters are waterproof and can be washed and reused. I'm not sure how many times they can be "recycled" but I've washed them about 10 times and they're still like new. Not only can they be washed and reused, they also do not need to be changed/removed when switching from wet to dry cleaning. These filters can be used in wet conditions without damage. Just leave them on the machine and use them as if you were cleaning wet material. Of course, if the liquid is non-porous the filters will clog fairly quickly, but again they can be washed and reused if the liquid is water soluble. This is one of those items that downplays their dignity. The cost savings of being able to wash and reuse these filters can be significant if you use your wet/dry vacuum frequently. It takes a lot to impress me, but I'm really impressed with these filters.
