This is the time of year I go into my obsessive cleaning phase at Downton Abbey, decorating and cleaning the house. I just have to polish the floors. I found an old bottle of JOHNSON One Step Wax in the corner of my closet. Although it illuminated my floor brilliantly, it smelled like a toxic chemical plant for several days. I think that's why the product was withdrawn from sale (accept if you buy it on E-Bay for less than $200 a bottle) which was unacceptable to me. But. I still needed to get my floor shiny, so I set out to find an "just as good" product that I could buy for less than $20. I read many reviews and decided to go to WEINMANS and bought a cleaner, polish and a special mop. Here is my experience with the product: The cleaner is great and easy to use, but does not remove chafing, which is what I need it for. But I still use it on my wooden floors and it does its job well. But the polish is amazing. It works just as well, if not better than JOHNSON's one-step product, but without the toxicity and high cost. In addition, it dries faster. However, I cannot yet confirm durability and gloss retention. It will be necessary to search. Overall, I'm very happy with Weinmans. It completely satisfies this lady's obsessive need for shiny holiday floors.
