First, they're not rechargeable; You must be connected to a USB power source. They can be plugged into a USB battery pack that you use to back up your phone, so they're portable from that perspective, but for me it's a common use when sitting in my home office. My study is in my basement, which can get a bit chilly at times. I got them with the idea that you could print while keeping your hands warm and they're great for that purpose. As with all fingerless gloves, this is an easy adjustment when typing since you don't typically type with gloves on, but it only took a few minutes to get used to. The gloves themselves would be a great help. with all that, but with a heating element, they warm my cold hands. I use them with a heating element in my palms and it doesn't interfere with typing or using my phone or mouse.
