I have traveled from Chicago to San Francisco and then back. Due to a schedule I didn't ship my road bike with TriBike Transport so I took the bike to the airport in a bag. The bag is light. United Airlines charged $150 each way ($300 total) and the bag was less than $50. So the cost is about the same if you send a service. Southwest Airlines is only $75 each way. I wrapped the bike in bubble wrap, removed and capped the handlebars and front brake connector. I also removed the front wheel, seat and pedals. It only took 15 minutes to remove the parts and pack the bike. I give 5 stars for the quality and value of the bag.
