The first impression is not very good. The device constantly becomes "unreachable" during data transfer and is extremely unreliable. It stays connected for up to 90 seconds, but typically drops out within 20 seconds.** Update **After constant crashes and disconnects, I was ready to bring it back. I decided to order a replacement USB 3.1 Gen 2 cable from Revain and now the case works as expected. I haven't had a single breakup or rejection in the past few days. Average read/write speeds hover around 150MB/s whether it's disk-to-disk or computer-to-disk. This is most likely a disk limitation on older disks that I'm using to retest the case. It could have been five stars if it worked the way it was sent.
