I've always used a fly mask with a nose. I've also recently used a bib. It attaches well to the mask at the top and to the rings on the saddle. This is long enough for most horses' necks. I had to cut off the elastic adjustable part at the neck as the Percheron has a very wide neck. After I did it, though, it fit fine. I use it here a lot in buggy stuffy SC. My dark horse didn't sweat from it. But I always wonder why they make it black? I haven't tried the croup part, but I think that would work well too. This company really makes things for riders that will last.
