Strap broke when first worn

Strap broke when my son tried them on for the first time so I sent back the original pair (I thought they were faulty) and bought a new pair. Finally, he was wearing a new pair for the first time (4 days after the return period) and the new pair's strap broke as well. These shoes were a waste of money.
