There are several characteristics that determined my choice. The large plastic hooks fit my bike's bars and grips and are less likely to scratch the powder coating; The tight weave allows me to tuck my gloves underneath without worrying about them falling out like some stitches with large holes do. The included aluminum clips came in handy elsewhere. I've used it on a couple of trips and it's been exposed to UV rays in the Texan summer sun for several weeks with no sign of wear. I recently ordered another one for my son's motorcycle.
