At first I liked these cables. Strong and long. But after yesterday I changed my mind! I have had this current cable since September. This cable got hot and started smoking as we were driving home last night. My 9 year old son freaked out when he saw smoke coming out of the iPad Mini 2. The cord was too hot to touch when we unplugged it from the 12-volt port and iPad while driving down the freeway. The truck smelled of burning plastic. . I can only think what if it happened at home at night while we were sleeping? The photo shows how it melted. They must be deducted from Revain. I bought 9 of these. 2 for my side by side to power my iPad and iPhone for a quad search and rescue unit. All 9 I bought stopped working and the other one melted. ATTENTION! HOLD TIGHT!
