The clock is beautiful and the picture really doesn't do it justice. The blue numbers on the black face really stand out. It has 7 brightness settings and 7 loudness settings. I have the brightness set on number 3 and it is plenty bright enough to see during the brightest part of the day.I have the alarm set at the number 1 level, and it is perfect for me since I am a light sleeper. So, if you are a person who needs a loud alarm clock, this is the clock for you. The volume at level 7 is plenty loud.It also has 2 USB ports for charging your phone, tablet, etc.My favorite thing is the battery backup. When the electricity goes out, you won't be able to see the time, but your alarm will still go off on time. The first day I had the clock, we lost electricity on 2 separate occasions, and when it came back on the clock had the correct time. No resetting!
