We bought this for my family reunion with older siblings who grew up watching all the traditional Disney movies. Many of us now have young children of our own, so we all keep up to date with current Disney/Pixar releases. And so I wasn't put off by the reviews stating that the game is a bit difficult for younger players. ๐๐ We didn't play with words. Only pictures. I think it was fun to remember. A few siblings said they prefer the regular game, a few said they prefer this one. I chose this for our family reunion because the whole point of a reunion is to remember your childhood, right? Ha ha. Although one of our favorite aspects of code names (we have both a base set and an "extension" of images) is that you can connect lots of words/images with clever and abstract links. If you're playing a themed game (since there are multiple themed versions), you'll narrow down the abstract ability of the clues you can give and make it harder to get more than 1-3 tiles per clue (unless you are lucky). and any princesses, locations, or characters/scenes from a particular movie turned out to be your tiles.) Overall we enjoyed our destination and I would do it again. While our base set and picture game are often chosen at game nights, I'm not sure we'll be playing this Disney version much.
