Review on 🌹 Bambaw Rose Gold Safety Razor: Eco-Friendly, Waste-Free Shaving Solution for Women by April Schol

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It needed some adjustments, but I'll stick with it for now.

I've been using the Gillette Sensor for Women for about 25 years. I felt the quality of the blades had gone down and I have been struggling to get a good shave for over a year. Eventually I decided on a metal safety razor as I thought it would be more environmentally friendly as the blades could be recycled. I spent weeks reading reviews and deciding which razor to get before settling on Bambaw. Getting used to a new type of razor was challenging and took a very long time (weeks at least). I estimate the Bambaw weighs four times the sensor. I tried to reproduce the suggested angle with it and keep it exactly as the tutorials say and I think I was overthinking it and it made me awkward. In the end I felt it, even though I thought I never would. I tried different knife sets. Some I only used for a day, some for several weeks, depending on performance. The included Bambaw Platinum blade had the same performance as the Astra Superior Stainless in my experience. Both seemed boring and it took several passes to collect all the hair. My skin was slightly irritated after use. Using these blades made me feel like I should shave my legs every day (I usually shave my armpits every day but my legs probably every 3-5 days). I used up shaving cream much quicker than usual and couldn't recycle the caps, so the shave probably turned out less green than greener. Kinds of blades, and the shave is much better. I wiped the blade and razor after almost every shave, but hard water leaves ugly build-up in nooks and crannies and is difficult to remove even with a cotton swab. I'll be sticking with this razor for now, at least, but there was definitely a steep learning curve involved. I still miss how light my old razor was in comparison but I love the potential durability of this razor and am glad I have many blade options should quality control please any of the blades I need will be of poor quality .
