Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Chelmon Ultimate Minimalist Authentic RFID Blocking by Larry Cothran

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ideal! That's exactly what I wanted. The price was right too!

This is my third skinny wallet in the last 5 years and I will never go back to big bulky wallets. This is a typical set that I keep every day. and much less is not possible - 3x ID cards, 3x credit cards, 2x subway cards, 2x miscellaneous (gift cards, punch cards) and about 4 bills. Ideally I would add 2x as many CC cards, but I use them so infrequently that there's no point in carrying them every day. Fit and Finish: This is definitely leather and not a cheap material. Fabric lining, all seams are lined and feel very durable. Delicacy: vs. my old wallet? A little thinner. The old one had a big protruding emblem which was annoying, this one has an embossing on the leather and it's almost invisible. When I first opened the envelope, I noticed how flimsy it felt. All my stuff is fine now, but not tiny. Pockets are deep enough for most Euros (not all), all US Dollars / Canadian Dollars fit nicely. Conclusion: perfect! That's exactly what I wanted. The price was right too! Just a couple of swipes: I don't care about RFID, but I think it's there. I'm a little concerned that this will affect my work ID and I won't be able to swipe my wallet to log in. And while it doesn't smell like chemicals, it leaves material behind when touched. It sure wears out, but it's noticeable now. 1 week update: The weird stuff I was feeling before is long gone, probably cornstarch or something to keep it from sticking to things. RFID did not interfere with the work ID.
