As shown in the picture just note it only rotates left to right and top to bottom it is non-articulating, the bracket is detached, I line up the large side with the TV and removed the 4 screws that were under the 4 holes, then reinstalled the screws through the bracket and into the TV. Then you found a good place to mount the TV. I found a bolt to mount the smaller bracket and socket. Next time joining the two halves of the bracket is a little tricky, a friend would make it easier and then in my case adjust it down and to the right a bit so I could pull it off bed can see
