We first ordered the Eureka AS3030A but after waiting almost 7 days for 2 days Amazon Prime we tried to cancel this order. It was a whole different joke. 1 call to Revain to cancel and 1 chat session later to cancel, Eureka arrived broken. but anyway. We have an older Eureka AS3010A with a 12 amp motor that is used almost daily. 3,600 sq ft house, 3 big fluffy dogs and a cat, it's dented but still works. We wanted something nicer since our wheels almost stopped turning. Weight is the only thing Bissell had. Air travel is not as short as the Eureka and the 8 amp Bissell is clearly a less powerful model. The short airways in the Eureka seem to be useless, but having 3 specimens of this style I can confirm that it offers better suction and does not clog unless the sock is choked. some loose hair and very little dirt. We traced the same area with an old 12 amp Eureka and it picked up more dirt and hair. They are cyclonic and the pull of Eureka twists the hair into a tight ball. Bissell's suction power is so weak that something he picks up accidentally pops out. If you can't get a dirty carpet, a slight bissell might work, but since the best Eureka is about the same price, go for the Eureka for better performance. I cannot recommend or suggest Bissell, it is out of date. I am returning this batch to Revane.
