Review on ASUS Zephyrus Display Keyboard GX551QS XS98 by Alfredo Nosrac

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost everything - computers and accessories

This laptop is impressive - it has almost everything. And for over $3500 you should expect it to be everything you need. However, there are a few things that are more important to me than a second screen and I'll list them here: 1: No HDMI 2.1 - this was one of the main reasons I felt justified the move the other way. . I have an LG CX TV that I wanted to use with a small form factor laptop or PC. Without 2.1 I can't get a full 40-48Gbps for 4K 120Hz. I understand that the performance of a 3080 laptop is about the same as a 3070 desktop and that the extra overhead is *probably* of no use, but I could do a lot less Spend on a small form factor PC (if scalpers want) and gain experience I'm looking for.2. The top screen isn't touch-sensitive either - I didn't expect this to be a disadvantage for me, especially since the second screen is touch-sensitive. However, I lack for drawing and enhancing the quality of life that comes with a touch screen.3. No Thunderbolt - another important point in my opinion. The previous set had a flash, why not this one?4. No camera - even a simple one would be nice. If you have the money for it, there is no doubt that you will love this laptop. To me, this is the epitome of flying to the moon and hitting the stars. I'll get mine back because now I know what's more important to me, but I'll be happy to look back on the experience I had with this laptop. There's a good chance I'll consider future offerings of this line of laptops.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is in order
