Speaking of the headphones themselves, they mainly focus on bass with a touch of added treble. This makes them a hit or miss set depending on your preference, but otherwise outperforms all others in the price range (to my knowledge). I personally had to tweak them with an equalizer to balance them to my liking and they've been great ever since. I personally have a pair with a regular silver cable. Having used them as wired goto headphones for the past year they have performed well and continue to sound as great as day one. I personally didn't use the foam tips as they were a little uncomfortable for me, but the silicone tips were great. No issues with disabling a monitor as reported with older variants (2016). The only problem I had was with the MMCX cable. It doesn't seem to handle moisture very well as the entire cable (silver) has taken on a green tint over time and the cables going to each monitor are stiff and coiled up. I no longer use them when traveling as my headphones or Airpods are much more comfortable and I didn't bother to order a higher quality MMCX cable which I would ultimately recommend.
