The back vent is too high for the job.
Soooo the fabric was ok, like a heavier Hane cotton t-shirt. The color was exactly like in the picture. They fit well with no spanks (if I stayed I would wear them) BUT I quickly felt a rush of air in my back as I bent over! The back slit is very high. So if you have junk (like me) or are taller, your goodies can be on display! For scale, I'm 5'6 and 150 and ordered medium.
