Review on ๐ŸŽ’ DEWALT DGCL33 Lighted USB Charging Tool Backpack: Ultimate Organization and Convenience in Yellow Leathercraft by David Will

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've been using it for a few weeks and so far I like it.

So far I like this bag. I switched to it from the Dewalt DGL573 tote, which held many tools but was heavy and awkward to carry on a thin strap. I was nervous that this bag wouldn't have enough space for me, but I took a chance because it was on sale and I'm glad I did. An old bag became a new backpack. I work in a communications facility so I can work in a police car or in a hospital emergency room the same day. I need different tools at my disposal and I hate changing tools multiple times a day. Another big plus is that the backpack frees your hands to carry other parts and gear, saving you extra trips to the truck. I've used a lot of light or USB but they've tested both and worked great when I tested them. I think the light would be great for night work. The gooseneck lets the light shine in front of you when you're walking with a backpack on your back. As far as complaints or improvements, I don't have much. If you have your front pockets open and open, the bag tends to fall off. forward when there is no drill in the rear pocket to balance the weight of the front tools. The bag sits a bit uncomfortably on the lower back but given the weight of the gear I can't fault it. I'd like to see some sort of rubber/plastic reinforced bottom that wraps around the bottom for a bit more durability and water/mud/snow resistance when you're training in the elements and putting the bag on the ground have to. I think it would also help with the balance problem. Finally, incorporate some sort of storage box integration similar to Milwaukee's "Packout" line. It would be great to have a box of small parts at the bottom of the bag. I would recommend this bag to anyone who carries their tools on a daily basis.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some bugs
