I have struggled to find compression socks that are both comfortable (does not cut off my circulation around the calf) AND keeps my ankles from swelling--AND I FINALLY FOUND THEM!My ankles swell at the thought of a plane trip. And once they swell up on a trip, there is no way to bring them back down until I am home again for several days in my normal routine. The swelling will come down overnight, but as soon as I'm standing my feet and ankles blow up. It is so bad that I my shoes will not fit and I've been known to wear flip-flops in the snow, because I can't get my feet into shoes. I literally take several types and sizes of shoes on any trip with me because I don't know how bad they will get. AND I have struggled to find compression socks that I can wear--that don't cut off the circulation around my calves and still maintain the swelling.Finally! These are my solution! I love them! I bought one pair (nude 15-20 mmHg open toe) as a trial. I took them on a 16-day cruise and they were wonderful. I put them on as soon as I got up and they were comfortable and maintained the swelling all day, so I could walk and fit into all my pretty sandals. The nude color looked natural, so I could wear them with crops and even a longish dress--yes, people could see I was wearing compression socks, but it was not obvious and these were so much more attractive than swollen cankles falling all over my shoes.so I didn't care.I can't comment on durability as I have not had them very long. I washed them out in the sink at night without any issues. But I plan to buy more pairs., which I have never done with the dozens of other socks I have bought.They fit true to size. I measured my ankles and calves and bought a large based on the size chart recommendation and they were perfect. I thought about sizing up, because most compression socks are so uncomfortable, but the size was perfect.Buy one pair--try them and see for yourself!
