== Introduction == Yes… I have Brainwavz's latest in-ear headphones, the M100. The M100s have been meticulously crafted from aircraft-grade metal to produce high-quality sound. The musical attitude of the M100 makes it suitable for most music genres. Additionally, it has versatile 3-button controls built into the cable for both audio playback and a microphone for audio calls. In addition to the standard silicone ear tips, a free set of Comply Foam ear tips is also included. Sounds good? Let's find out...== Package Contents== The Brainwavz M100 and all other accessories come in a hard headphone case that comes in a black and white box. After opening, you will find M100, 6 sets of silicone ear tips (SML), 1 set of silicone double flange ear tips, 1 set of Comply Foam Tips T-400, shirt clip, Velcro cable tie, user manual and warranty card. There are always plenty of goodies in Brainwavz headphones. == Design and build quality == Wow... The Brainwavz M100 is built like a tank but is lightweight thanks to the use of aircraft quality metal for the fuselage. The cable is another plus, it's very strong, twisted and coated. It's also almost confusing. I have to say the build quality is excellent. By the way, there is a "tulip" slider above the Y splitter, but it's difficult to move. Both headphone cases look the same, but identifying the left and right channels is not difficult since the remote control with the microphone is on the right channel. Find the remote, find the channels. By the way, there is an air outlet on the bottom of the case next to the cable. And a 45 degree fork. == Fit, Comfort and Insulation == The Brainwavz M100 is designed to be worn cable down. But it can also be worn over the ear. And they fit well thanks to the small and light body. Of course, the multiple selection of earplugs helps here. You have a choice of standard silicone ear tips (S, M, L), double flanged and Comply Foam Tips T-400. As usual, Comply Foam Tips T-400 offer maximum comfort. And double flanged ear tips for maximum seal. Isolation is good in that it blocks out some ambient noise. In addition, there is no sound leakage. And there's almost no microphone, even with the worn cable down. Finally, it is comfortable to wear for long hours. == Performance Score == The Brainwavz M100 microphone is great. Others can hear my voice loud and clear thanks to the microphone's position higher and closer to the mouth. However, things are not going so well for me. I can hear others, but not as clearly and dull. I'll talk about the sound quality later. Now let's talk about the remote control. It works correctly on both Android and iOS devices. Volume control, play, pause and skip to next/previous track work fine on my devices. Err... I expected too much from the Brainwavz M100 as a quality headphone. In short, it sounds very warm and somber. It looks like Brainwavz went too far with the M100 and made it sound unnatural. Great bass you could say. Because of this, the M100 generally sounds dull. Bass overpower overtakes mids and highs. And it affects the soundstage and the separation of the instruments because you can't hear them clearly. But also look at the positive side: at high frequencies, sibilance and sharp peaks are completely absent.
