Unfortunately (in my experience) so many items are currently offered in 'stainless steel' or 'food grade' that the quality of stainless steel is not acceptable unless it is made by a reputable 'top tier' company manufactured. This is another example of a good idea but poorly executed, as another reviewer also noted. I have many high quality 18/8 304 stainless steel items that have been used for years and can stay in the water for days without rusting. Otherwise it would be a good product but totally unacceptable due to rust. Two stars instead of one because it keeps the drink really cold, the rim is thin, the base is sturdy and it's easy to hold.
