I'll say straight away that I did professional laser hair removal about 6-7 years ago. It helped for three or four years, and then it started again. I bought this IPL laser hair removal in hopes that it would help me maintain my hair growth. It came in a very nice box with glasses. It has a nice screen that counts how many lights are left on the lamp (you get 300,000, I used around 2000-3000 per setup). It has five different settings. I started with setting #2, then progressed to #3 and then tried level 4. It's not that bad at all, but I didn't go to level 5. It's exactly the same as it was when I did it professionally. I've only used it once and noticed that my hair appears longer. Be sure to use a cooling moisturizer/cream after use. I'll try to update my review when I go but so far I like it.
