Plastic outer shell and inner parts do not fit together properly. This initially prevented the mini-USB from physically accepting the adapter. The adapter could not be inserted into the mini USB end because the hole did not match. Eventually, I managed to lift the inside of the adapter just enough to plug it into the mini-USB port. At odd angles, use the mini-USB to pry open the side of the adapter until it was in a position where it would push onto the end of the old mini-USB cable. Once you can plug in the adapter it seems to work. People who expect everything to be ready to use out of the box don't buy them. If you need this adapter and are willing to play around with it to make it work, then they might be the right choice for you.
