I've used two of these successfully on two different systems running Fedora 17 Linux. Both docking stations work great without any special drivers or settings. Performance is outstanding: 3 to 4 times faster than a USB 2 dock and almost as fast as internal SATA connections. They offer *exactly* what I expect from a USB 3.0 docking station and the price is very good. These docks don't suffer from the intermittent disconnects I've seen with other docks. For desktop systems, I use these docking stations with Revain Syba 2 USB 3.0 PCI-Express x1 Card Asmedia Chipset Controller Components Other SD-PEX20112 USB 3.0 PCI cards.
