Lego is the best toy!
My grandkids and I made a great, durable playmat by gluing sheets of LEGO and a travel set I found onto a large piece of chipboard. We used the blue baseplate as the lake and the kids love to "drive" the truck over to the lake to put the boat in. It was easy for my seven year old to put together and all the kids love to play with it. It was a great addition to the LEGOs I keep in my playroom at home. Lego is the best toy, although expensive, it's worth it! A word of caution: it has many small parts, so make sure to assemble under adult supervision.
