Review on Bridgestone Turanza T001 205/60 R16 92V summer by Ewa Plaskota ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not my best purchase, you could have found something else.

Review for 205/65 R16. Tire mileage at the time of writing 8t. Km. A little background on why I took breeches at all I took it for a sonata instead of the stock all-weather kumho, because. to that there were claims in terms of behavior on the road - I had to periodically taxi up at a speed of more than 100 + strongly threw in a rut. The breeches had a bad experience with winter tires - very noisy. I vowed not to take them again and initially wanted a Michelin primacy. But, alas, in my size, of the normal brands, there were only hakka blue and this turanza. There was a negative experience in summer hacka - a friend punched 2 hacka green tires during the summer. So in the end I took the breeches. Rubber production - Japan. Pros: Behavior on the road has become ok - stability on a straight line, normal on ruts, there are no complaints about taxiing or holding in corners (although I don’t drive aggressively, maybe Schumachers are different in this regard). Minuses: The tires are hard (I don't really care, because the car has a soft suspension that compensates for this) and VERY noisy on coarse-grained asphalt - a very loud low-frequency rumble already at 60 km / h. As a result, did Shumko floor and doors, after that it became less. But if it weren’t for this miserable rubber, I wouldn’t bother with sound insulation at all - because. The stock noise level was much lower. I didn’t transfer it back to kumho, because. handling is still more important, but for Turanza the final score is 3 and I don’t recommend buying it, because I think that in 2022 all branded tires should provide not only the necessary minimum in terms of good handling, but also at least some acoustic comfort. Before that, on another car with worse sound insulation, there were viatty strada summer non-names, and so they were many times quieter than these breeches.

Pros
  • There are no complaints about handling on this rubber: good stability on a straight line, does not wind in ruts, a sharp steering wheel.
Cons
  • Rigid (for me it’s not particularly principled, because the car has a soft suspension that compensates for this), VERY noisy on coarse-grained asphalt. If acoustic comfort is even a little important to you, bypass this rubber.
