If you have multiple cats, vertical spacing is a must and a way to show their hierarchy, which is natural. I have a big room dedicated to this type of cat stuff. It's like a cat amusement park. I even have a TV dedicated to them where I turn on videos of birds etc. It was perfect for this room. Got up with no problems. It is very durable and cats got used to it immediately. In fact, I saw three cats sleeping on it at the same time. It's pretty big! I will keep an eye on other items that go with it. Very nice.
