Review on Electric scooter Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter 1S, up to 100 kg, white, CN by Micha Szymaski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I expected mediocre quality, but the product was pleasantly surprised.

I ride for two months. My weight is 75 kg. Used the scooter to the full on different types of coverage. I did not carry out any additional settings in the service center, I took it out of the box, assembled it, charged it - and I still use it that way. I was assured that the wheels should immediately be changed to solid rubber. What burst almost immediately, what you will pierce, etc. At the moment, jumping from curbs, driving through lingering gravel, terrible concrete surfaces and even accidentally driving over a broken bottle - everything is ok with wheels. It is worth noting that for some reason the instructions indicate the recommended pressure is less than 1 atmosphere. I pumped up almost one and a half. When I read about recuperation, I thought - a cool thing! In practice, I do not notice that this function allows you to extend the life of the battery. Maybe a couple percent. But that doesn't mean anything at all.)

Pros
  • 1. Cruise control - fire. Works great at different levels of pressing the gas trigger. Definitely the decisive thing about buying an electric scooter, if it is not about entertainment, but as a way to get to work. 2. Great design, lovely color. Creates a feeling of lightness, compared to black monsters with huge wheels or a seat (the whole array). 3. Light weight. 12 kg allow you to lift the scooter onto the curb with one hand right behind the handlebars and immediately continue moving. It is easy to fold and carry to the train, at the stations. It is easy to remove not only in the trunk of the car, but also in the cabin due to the neat thin design. 4. A display indicating the mode and speed (I’ll write it down as a minus that the charge is indicated in divisions, and not in percentages. I don’t want to get my phone and pair the scooter to see it as a percentage). You can see the indication of the engine lock, the charge level, when connected to the network. The thing is good. 5. Stop signal is a great thing. Good rear brakes in general, do not allow you to fall over the handlebars, as on scooters with a front brake.
Cons
  • 1. The disadvantage is not a specific model, but a brand. You can go crazy trying to figure out which model goes before which, what year, what is the difference in the engine and so on. terrible, just terrible, when there is no naming logic of any kind. The situation is aggravated by stores that often do not understand what they are selling themselves, use photos of another model as promos, the characteristics of thirds, and confuse the name of the Chinese version with the name for the European market. 2. Power reserve on paper is far from reality. When using frequent braking in the city, climbs, difficult surfaces (additional weight of the backpack), the real range drops from 30 km to 20 km. 3. Plus, the fact that when the charge drops below 60%, the maximum speed of 25 km / h is already difficult to develop is added to the second point. If wind is added to your non-body or hillock, then the ceiling will be - 21 km / h. Doesn't seem so scary? but power affects not only the overall speed, but also the ability to overcome long climbs. 4. Remember that you don't have 100% battery, you only have 70%. With a balance of 30%, the scooter dies. 5. After three weeks of active everyday use, the scooter creaks in the steering part and in all connecting places where there is plastic. Doesn't bother or irritate much, but expected a better build. 6. I will write down small remarks here. I don’t like the charging place, dirt and moisture easily get there, but the socket itself seems to be protected. Yes, and it is difficult to connect - you need to bend over. I would like to see a nest in the upper part or handlebars, it would be more convenient. I would like the wheels to have a larger diameter, quite a bit, and then many ramps (?) on the stairs would pass without a hitch on the bottom at level differences. There is not enough screw socket handle on the side to attach a folding rear-view mirror, because you don’t want to hook it to the center of the steering wheel and there is almost no point. The flashlight hits a little high, there is no way to adjust it.
