So, the first. The picture and the description clearly indicate that the boxes are transparent. Came black with transparent lid. Luckily I didn't care about the color anyway. Second, you get what you pay for. These things are cheap. The quality is mediocre at best. But I didn't expect Rubbermaid quality for a family dollar price. Third. The description mentions that the hinged lid opens for easy access. This indicates that the lid is actually latched. It is not. In fact, it just lies on the box. It is not fixed in any way, neither in form nor in form. Fourth. One of the lids arrived warped and bent. I only used it for the bottom drawer so the weight of the others would keep it in place. Generally they work. If you're looking for something airtight, look elsewhere. If you're looking for something that will last more than a few years (maximum), look elsewhere. If you want them to be transparent, look elsewhere or play here.
