I bought this white watch strap a while ago and was so pleased with it that I recently bought a black one to replace a very hard black watch strap that had one of the protective loops broken after several months of use. They look great and fit my tiny wrist perfectly with the last hole [or first hole depending on your perspective]. I recently had to return two unrelated items that I bought with a gift card. I'm going to use some of that money to buy this brown watch strap to replace the one that looks crappy [cheap walmart watches that otherwise work well] and whichever hole I use to attach it, it's either closed loose or too tight . If you need a cheap watch that works well but has a crappy strap, yes, you're probably paying more for that strap than you would for a watch. But if the watch works well then the price is worth it. I doubt the free-moving wrist strap will fall apart because it's sewn and not glued like many cheap watch straps. I think - not sure - there might be glue under the seams. Double security. I would highly recommend Alpine watch straps to anyone looking for a reliable and good looking replacement watch strap. Just make sure you get the right size. Most rulers these days show inches as well as millimeters. You can easily measure the watch strap you want to replace to see what size you need.
