The comforter is nice and soft and I love the pattern. heat is good; I'm using 3 bars (out of 6) on the display and that's all I need. A little higher and my knees are starting to get red. This is an 'old style' blanket so the wires can be felt and separated leaving small areas that don't get hot. For me it's a complete indifference because they're close enough for it to work. The benefit of the "old style" is that you don't have to lug around a massive current transformer box. It has a small controller that fits in one hand and weighs nothing. As with all electric blankets, the big question is how long it will last - so far so good after a few months.
