Review on Refurbished Apple MacBook Pro MJLQ2LL/A - 15-inch Laptop with Intel Core i7 Processor, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Mac OS X by Everette Jean

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I have a 2016 Catalina not a 2015 Yosemite so no USB and no HDMI

which I bought from One Providers. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the SSD I got was 500GB instead of the advertised 250. But I wanted Yosemite, HMDI and USB, which I think will come in mid-2015. (I need Yosemite for my MS 4000 ergonomic keyboard.) The model number might be correct, but I have a 2016 Catalina. So I don't think the model number is for mid 2015. Look at the connectors pictured on the item for sale. What I received didn't have those ports, but did have a few tiny, maybe lightning-like ports. Warning: Apple will make computers with their own "silicon" chip, not Intel, as I'm told, with less excess heat. Personally, I don't prefer thin laptops; I like a little space in the case. The seller may have thought he was doing me a favor by sending me a newer and thinner computer; but it wasn't what i wanted. He was beautiful and untouched. I've tried for a few minutes and will post back. Also, there were no icons on the desktop, no hard drive icon, and it didn't drag and drop into the dock. I think that's Catalina's style. You may be able to buy adapters for these new ports to get HDMI and USB, but that means additional expense and inconvenience as things hang on the laptop. WARNING: There are 3 2015 variants: Q, T, and U. Q I'm told that one of the higher end T&U variants is missing a discrete GPU. This page now promotes the Q (Inferior) variant. Model numbers Q, T or U: MJLQ2LL/A MJLT2LL/A MJLQU2LL/A. I think the U model is the top of the range, each has a slightly faster processor speed than the younger one.
