Great belt, I was very afraid to try it because I didn't trust the belt without the old school lace pattern. The belt is a lot easier to size than the classic version and as an added bonus it stretches a bit giving you a really comfortable fit without being uncomfortably tight. The only downside is that you have to disassemble/reassemble the buckle every time you change pants - a bit awkward, but not so much that I don't like the belt. I'm definitely the function-minded type of person, so I can't comment on how trendy the belt is, but in terms of how well it works, I definitely agree.
