I absolutely LOVE this recorder. First, the price beats the quality of this recorder. I've had several other cheaper recorders ($45 or less) and they did the job, but were extremely sensitive, had a lot of background noise, and were difficult to use at times. This recorder is a dream! Here's everything I like about it: - It has the ability to plug a micro SD card into it to store files, so you can take them anywhere and store as many as you want. - You have the option to record to SD card or device memory. Background noise is practically non-existent. The package includes a USB cable for easy downloading of files to a computer. There are on/off and hold functions. Note that while recording, I can mark the second of the tape that I just need to go back to. - The screen is very clear and has large numbers/letters. - 2 Triple A. Unlike Olympus, it shows on screen what time it is for the file you are listening to and how much time you have left for the file. for example: - no soft case was supplied - it combines recordings recorded over specific periods of time. For example, if I start a recording, stop and start recording again after 5 minutes, those two recordings are merged and not put in separate folders/files. It doesn't indicate when the first entry ends and the second begins, it just flows together. (I'm not sure if there's an option to turn it off, but I haven't found if there is one.) All in all, this is an amazing recorder for the price. Whether you're tinkering with paranormal EVPs or studying journalism, this recorder is great. The price is about the same as Olympus and 10 times better.
