Review on πŸ’œ REVLON Ionic Soft Bonnet Hair Dryer: Styling Power in Purple/White (1 Count) by Melinda Raley

This hair dryer is very poorly constructed.

I have had the hair dryer for four months now. When I first used it it was obvious that it was poorly designed and then I thought about returning it. I would like to have! There's very little room for a vinyl hood and cord storage, and the opening is surrounded by hard plastic edges. The hood must be physically inserted and removed from the compartment, and this is no easy task! Result? When I pulled the hood out to use it for the eighth time, I noticed a tear in the vinyl caused by the hard plastic edge of the storage compartment. I had had the hair dryer for two months at this point and to return it I had to send it to the seller myself and pay for shipping. Royal headache! So I taped it and was able to use it two more times. Hose storage was a whole different issue. The tubing needs to be pushed firmly into another storage location and then twisted to hold it in place. The tubing is made of wire and a vinyl coil, much like a spring. If this twisted tubing is not carefully re-stored, the wire structure tends to bend and lose its shape. Guess what! Hope will not stay in its vault unless it is clamped and twisted to keep it from curling up. So here we are. After less than a dozen uses, the hose is stuck and won't go in or out. There are now two tears in the vinyl hood and getting them back will still be a headache! Now the hair dryer is useless. But the motor still works great if you want to awkwardly hold it in the air with both hands and try to use it as a hair dryer. I would personally like to have a chat with the idiot who drafted this article and the Exec company. Who thought putting it up for sale would be a good idea!
