Great for smoothies or shakes, wide and stiff but breaks easily

Wide and stiff so they don't wrinkle when drinking thick liquids like smoothies and shakes. But they are very fragile and easily break or splinter. If you just tap them on the counter to push them through the paper, the end that hits the counter can easily break. I once hit one of them with a plate while it was in a glass and was amazed it caused three separate tears in the straw.
