This slicer/grater works well. I was very happy to receive this after all the great reviews. The first thing I noticed was that there was still blue plastic sticking out in the creases and creases of the metal. Like a plastic wrap that you peel off a new product, but only stick small pieces. I couldn't get them off and they're still hanging there. The product works great as a cheese grinder. However, two cutting blades, flat and wavy, do not work very well. The metal in this item is very thin, so when you press the item against the cutting blade, it pushes it in and you end up with uneven but wafer-thin slices. This renders those two blades useless. So I will continue to keep this in my cupboard and use it to grind cheese, it seems a fair price for a cheese grinder. However, it takes up a lot of space to use it just for that. Due to the thickness I'm not sure how long this will last and with the plastic wrap still in the creases I don't think I'll have it for very long.
