The color is slightly different from the original. I was a little apprehensive when I first received this. The part that connects to the bottom of the vacuum didn't slide in easily, and the plastic felt a bit more brittle than the original. However, when I finally put it in, it fit snugly and didn't seem to budge. I haven't removed this part from my vacuum in many years, so I'll be happy as long as it stays. The tip that slides over the stick fits well. My original hose kind of snapped onto the bar, and I had to push buttons to remove the bar. This one doesn't. He slides over the stick. I was worried at first, but it hangs correctly on all attachments. There are just a few variations on how they made the clicking part slide over the stick instead of being stuck to it. I agree as it works with attachments. For the price, I'm very happy with this hose. My vacuum is probably over 10 years old so I'm just hoping it lasts until I replace it.
