This is a pretty decent stand for the money. The fan works nicely and the RGB lights look cool. If you tilt it up, it will bump into a monitor, so you need to slide the laptop the the right. This is with a 15 laptop, maybe with a 17 it would go past the edges and this wouldn't happen? It's has a somewhat cheap plasticy feel to it, but the top is mesh metal, which makes it feel a little more solid. My main complaint is the clips at the bottom that stop the laptop from sliding off. They are really frail plastic and i think this is probably the part that will break first. They are also very small, and unless the bottom of your laptop is squared off (like a Razr unibody for example) the laptop is going to try to slide right past them. I eventually got my Alienware M15 R6 to stay, but they should be 1/2 inch taller for sure and made of metal. I hope this lasts me a few years, but i'll update in a few months with a durability report. My hopes are not high because of those clips. I did a lot of research and there isn't much else out there for high quality gaming laptop stands that are adjustable to get the screen high where your main monitors will be. This will have to do until and we'll see how it goes!
