Okay first I read people complaining about their pet urinating out of it but really how can you make a round ball with breathing holes and let the pet roam around the house safely with no problems to have with pets? , maybe a little pee?! I don't find this to be a problem because keeping your house clean will just make it faster to lay the floor behind your pet! This is a safe way to let your pet exercise and interact with kids, especially if you have a cat! We love ours. This is the third purchase in the last two years but to protect the product it has been used in a class of 23 children and sent home with the children for the weekend! So this is the first one just bought by my kids and I think it should last the life of the pet and even longer! I mean if you throw it off the ottoman as one lady said it will definitely slow down, I mean it's not designed for a gerbil or hamster to fly with it! But with normal use it should last if cared for. It is easy to clean and when cleaned after each use, it smells nice. Simply wipe with a baby wipe or dampen with warm, soapy water. Don't use chemicals or you'll kill your pet! Very happy with my purchase. Kaytee makes good products.
