It works very well and I like most head part vibrators but this one is too hot for my very fine hair. I have this, the larger (deep wave) version and the S shaped version of these waves. I use a thermometer with any new heat related hair product I buy as a precaution. This one reads 50-60 degrees (F) hotter than the other two on its lowest setting. It styled my hair pretty well, but my hair didn't like being exposed to that much heat. This product is probably suitable for people with thicker, heat-resistant hair, but people with blonde hair may want to try an S curl or deep perm instead.
