I bought this to replace a very cheap Class 2 adapter I've had for years. I usually plug the adapter into a USB extender to reduce interference and it has worked fine for a long time. He reached my porch with minimal audio skipping through my headset. My old adapter suddenly stopped working with my USB extender for some reason and didn't reach where I wanted when plugged directly into the PC. I have decided to finally buy this new bluetooth adapter. My main mistake was assuming that the price guaranteed that I would get something of value. Aggravation. However, when I go to my porch, it disconnects MUCH sooner than my old cheap USB adapter. When I leave the house it's impossible to hear and my headset shuts off completely after a minute of fighting. To make matters worse, once the headset disconnects or I unplug it, it's a pain trying to plug it back in properly. I've had to resort to unplugging the headset "device" from my computer and plugging it back in every time I wanted to use it. DEFINITELY request a return of this product. BEWARE the range does not match what is advertised on the listing, buy one of the $5 adapters instead and you will have a similar experience.
