I like the speaker Here are some pros and cons: Pros: Fully charged and connected to the iPad. The speaker played at around 35% volume for 11 hours. I haven't tried endurance mode yet. only sausage will hear without bass. If you download Sony's mobile software, you can adjust the bass to midrange with the equalizer screen. Significantly improves the default anti-aliasing settings. Ideal for carrying in your golf bag or placing a drink holder in your golf cart. Cons: Consumes only about 8 watts. Don't expect to rock during an outdoor pool party or picnic. When you're drinking and listening to music, the buttons can be hard to see in low light or when you're seeing double from drinking. The speakers are branded with the Sony logo. If you point the speakers away from your ears, the sound drops by more than 20%. Bluetooth is a little glitchy when switching between sources, but that's not an indicator. The restart fixed any failed connections to Sony Music Center or jumps between iPhone and iPad. I also bought a JBL Flip5 to experiment and compare to the xb23. Should anything change for better or worse I will update my review.
