I use them as towels, not to dry dishes. For drying hands, they absorb moisture perfectly, more like bath towels. I highly recommend it for these purposes. I've also used them to wipe up spills on the counter and they did a great job so I don't think drying dishes should be a problem. They are very soft to the touch and look very pretty. I've followed the wash and dry instructions (cold water, no fabric softener or dryer) and they come out clean and fluffy every time. I would buy them again.
