Review on πŸ”Œ Anker USB C Hub for MacBook: PowerExpand Direct 7-in-2 Adapter - Thunderbolt 3, 100W PD, 4K HDMI, SD/microSD Reader by Jason Carranza

Revainrating 3 out of 5

My computer arrived today and this adapter does not connect as advertised.

I bought this to use with a 2020 MacBook Pro that we just ordered. In order for it to work, I had to press hard enough for the light to come on. It doesn't really matter, but back then it kept going off and I had to press it again to keep the light on. It turns itself off with every movement. Is there an adjustment or am I doing something wrong? This product is expensive, but, understand, also terrible quality: 1) The design is bad, at the slightest movement it separates from the laptop. 2) Even if the MacBook Pro is turned on, it will stop charging and the battery will work. out.3) Runs pretty warm, I suspect there is a design flaw, probably related to the power or heat in the blocks. 4) Does it even have proper product certification like EMV etc.? If the hub itself cannot maintain a connection to the computer, its performance is meaningless. At the same time, it is obvious that I received a used item. Why? I have to return this used hub. Don't waste your money here. Don't let your laptop and your anger burn and explode at the same time.
