Amazingly best product among computers and accessories

This little hub exceeded my expectations in almost every way (okay, it could have cost a little less, but you get what you pay for and even more). First impression: It's much smaller than I expected and very light. The material looks very good (mine is grey) and the build quality is excellent. Function test: On the first try after connecting to my Lenovo laptop with Ubuntu, everything works as it should. USB-C power goes through easily and the laptop charges at full speed when the 65W power adapter is connected to the hub. HDMI can pass 3440 x 1440 @ 60Hz video/audio to my ultra wide monitor with no apparent problems (I don't have a 4K monitor so I can tell how well it works at that resolution). Both card readers work without problems. After an hour of continuous use (with pass-through power, HDMI and a USB3.0 port), the hub barely heats up. I did not check the ethernet port, although the operating system recognized that the ethernet port is present and disabled. Minor issue: HDMI output pauses briefly when external USB-C power is disabled. Not a big problem as everything comes back after 2-3 seconds (although your windows may be rearranged by the operating system). The hub works great when powered by the computer. What could make this product even better: A slightly longer cable would help. Is it possible to put another USB-c output? (although no other hub seems to have this either).
